Critical Registration Tasks

Thank you for matriculating into the College of Engineering at the University of Maine. In order to be eligible for registration, you must complete both your Financial Terms and Conditions Agreement and Math Placement Exam (MPE), if they show on your To-Do List (located on the right side of the screen, on the Student Center Homepage, in MaineStreet).

*Please note: if you do not complete these three items as soon as possible, registration for the fall semester may be delayed, or courses may fill up completely. To ensure registration success, your timeliness with these tasks is imperative*

Please contact us at mcec@maine.edu if you have any questions.

Registration Tasks

1. Complete the Financial Terms and Conditions Agreement

For more information regarding billing and payment plans, visit the Bursar’s site. All students must complete the Financial Terms and conditions agreement before enrolling in classes at any campus of the University of Maine System. The agreement may be accepted by going to your MaineStreet Student Center and clicking on the Financial Terms and Conditions link in the “To Do List.”

2. Take the Math Placement Exam: ALEKS Placement, Preparation and Learning (PPL)

As a new student, you may need to take a math placement exam. The exam is on the web and should be taken ASAP to ease your course registration. Your test results are used by your college/school to place you in the appropriate course according to your strengths and skills. Please access the exam from your “to-do” list on the Student Center homepage in MaineStreet.

Please Note: If your SAT math score is 670 or above, you do not need to take this test. If your ACT score is 29 or above, you do not need to take this test.
