Biography
Dr. Boumis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Maine, where he leads the Future Coasts Lab. His research focuses on coastal engineering and infrastructure resilience. By using climate model data, he studies how coastal flood hazards—such as storm surges and waves—evolve under climate variability and change. His work also emphasizes developing practical flood risk management solutions for coastal communities.
